Under the patronage of Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler's Representative in Al Dhafra Region and Chairman of the Emirates Falconers' Club, the eighth day of the Abu Dhabi International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition (ADIHEX 2026) showcased a vibrant blend of heritage, cultural demonstrations, and family-oriented activities. Running under the theme "A Legacy of Pride" at the ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi, the 23rd edition of the event is organized by the ADNEC Group, a Modon company, in strategic partnership with the Emirates Falconers' Club, and will continue through September 6th.
Equestrian and canine presentations took center stage during the eighth day's events. Attendees witnessed purebred Arabian horse showcases, tent pegging, and specialized falconry hunting simulations. A dedicated horse auction also took place, offering breeders, owners, and enthusiasts a platform to view and bid on various breeds. The arena also featured Arabian Saluki presentations, MDK K9 displays, demonstrations involving rescued dogs from across the UAE, and training sessions focused on obedience and command methodologies.
The exhibition's cultural programming bridged local and global traditions, featuring performances of Japanese Taiko drumming alongside African drumming, dance, and acrobatics.
Educational sessions formed a key part of the day's schedule. The National Academy for Childhood Development hosted a workshop emphasizing the importance of the Arabic language during early childhood and its role in preserving cultural identity. The session offered practical advice for parents on boosting communication skills and vocabulary from infancy. Additionally, the youth-focused Learning Majlis, the Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority (ADAFSA), and the Abu Dhabi Police Traffic and Patrol Directorate participated with targeted workshops and awareness activities.
