Batelco by Beyon has signed a partnership with Bahrain-based e-procurement platform Procural to digitise parts of its sourcing and tendering process, with the telecommunications company saying the move is intended to improve operational efficiency, strengthen governance and make procurement more accessible to suppliers.
The partnership was announced on September 20, 2026 and was signed by Batelco Chief Financial Officer Haitham Albalooshi and Procural Co-Founder and Director Fahad Abdulrahman in the presence of Batelco Chief Executive Officer Maitham Abdulla at Beyon Headquarters in Hamala, Bahrain.
Under the arrangement, Batelco plans to integrate Procural’s cloud-based sourcing and tendering solution into its procurement operations, replacing or supplementing parts of the existing process with a digital platform designed to manage supplier participation and tender activity more systematically.
Batelco says the platform is expected to support a more efficient and transparent procurement process, with stronger governance around sourcing activity and a simpler experience for suppliers interacting with the company.
A central part of the announcement is the intended expansion of opportunities for suppliers, particularly small and medium-sized enterprises, which the companies say should gain broader access to participate in Batelco procurement activities through the digital system.
