The Real Estate General Authority (REGA) of Saudi Arabia has issued a firm warning to real estate brokers and service providers, stating that those who violate industry regulations face fines of up to SR200,000 as well as the suspension or permanent revocation of their operating licenses.
This warning follows the detection of multiple infractions during 39 joint inspection tours that covered 369 real estate businesses across various regions of the Kingdom. Among the documented violations were operating without a valid license, failing to verify property details provided by owners, and omitting the licensee's name or number from property advertisements. During August alone, REGA inspectors completed 17,182 field audits targeting real estate offices and advertising signs.
To ensure market compliance, the authority urged all real estate practitioners to adhere to the Real Estate Brokerage Law and its bylaws. Furthermore, REGA called on citizens and residents to utilize the official platform's dedicated reporting channel to flag any suspected fraudulent activities or violations.
