Land patrols of the Saudi Border Guard have successfully disrupted three separate drug smuggling operations in the regions of Jazan and Asir, resulting in the arrest of 13 individuals who violated the Border Security Law. During these security actions, officers confiscated 280 kilograms of khat, 37 kilograms of hashish, and 45,000 regulated medical pills.
In the Al-Raboua Sector of Asir, patrols arrested four Ethiopian nationals who were trying to smuggle 80 kilograms of narcotic khat into the Kingdom. Additionally, in a separate action in the same sector, land patrols blocked an attempt to smuggle 45,000 tablets governed by medical circulation rules alongside 37 kilograms of hashish.
Meanwhile, in the Al-Da'ir Sector of the Jazan region, Border Guard patrols apprehended nine law violators of Yemeni and Ethiopian nationalities. The individuals were detained for attempting to smuggle 200 kilograms of narcotic khat. Security authorities confirmed that preliminary legal actions have been finalized across all three incidents, and the apprehended suspects, along with the confiscated substances, have been transferred to the appropriate legal authorities.
