H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defence, and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai, has designated new leadership within the Dubai Environment and Climate Change Authority through two newly issued resolutions.
Under Executive Council Resolution No. (55) of 2026, Adel Abdullah Mohammed Al Karani has been transferred from Dubai Municipality and appointed as the CEO of the Biodiversity Sector at the Dubai Environment and Climate Change Authority. Additionally, Sheikh Hamdan issued Resolution No. (56) of 2026, which seconds Abdullah Yousuf Abdullah Al Marzouqi from the Dubai Police force to serve as the CEO of the Corporate Support Sector at the authority.
Both of these executive decisions are to be published in the Official Gazette and take immediate effect from their date of issuance.
