Kuwait Fire Force has closed 16 establishments in the Fahaheel Industrial Area as part of a joint inspection campaign targeting safety and regulatory violations.
The Fire Force said it also issued 27 notices and two closure warnings during the campaign in Ahmadi Governorate.
The inspections were carried out in coordination with the Ministry of Interior, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Kuwait Municipality, the Environment Public Authority and the Technical Inspection Department.
According to a KUNA statement carried by Kuwait Times, the operation was intended to check compliance with applicable regulations and safety requirements.
Inspectors identified violations and took administrative and legal measures against establishments where required.
