Kuwait’s AMAN establishment team has visited Switzerland's National Emergency Operations Center, which operates under the Swiss Federal Office of Civil Protection in Geneva. The delegation aimed to review Swiss methods for managing emergencies and national crises.
According to an official statement, the visit allowed the delegation to analyze Swiss mechanisms for decision-making support, information exchange, and national-level crisis coordination. This international benchmarking is part of a broader program to study global best practices, which will assist in launching the National Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Management Center (AMAN) and enhancing Kuwait's overall risk management capabilities.
Operating under the Council of Ministers, the AMAN team is responsible for designing a unified, comprehensive framework for emergency and disaster management in Kuwait. Their mandate includes consolidating national response efforts, designing integrated risk management plans, and strengthening the country's overall preparedness and response systems when dealing with potential crises.
