ABU DHABI - Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, the Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, toured the 23rd Abu Dhabi International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition (ADIHEX) on Saturday. Under the theme 'A Legacy of Pride,' the event is organized by the ADNEC Group, a Modon company, alongside its strategic partner, the Abu Dhabi Falconers Club. It is taking place at the ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi and is scheduled to conclude on September 6, 2026.
Accompanying Sheikh Nahyan on his visit was Humaid Matar Al Dhaheri, Group CEO of ADNEC Group. During the tour of the exhibition—the largest iteration in the event's history—the minister was briefed on the growing numbers of exhibitors and international brands showcasing their products and services. Sheikh Nahyan visited pavilions featuring falconry, equestrianism, sustainable hunting, desert expeditions, sporting weapons, and traditional heritage arts and crafts.
Sheikh Nahyan highlighted that the growth of ADIHEX underscores its international role in safeguarding cultural traditions and human heritage. He noted that the sectors represent pursuits deeply rooted in the UAE's history, expressing principles of patience, discipline, respect for nature, and bravery.
He emphasized that the UAE, under the leadership of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, views cultural heritage as an essential pillar of national identity and social cohesion. He explained that the President's vision focuses on passing knowledge to younger generations while utilising science and technology to protect and present these traditions in modern ways.
Furthermore, Sheikh Nahyan described ADIHEX as an important platform for cultural dialogue and exchange, which brings together specialists, institutions, and craftspeople. This gathering allows younger people to experience heritage through active participation, while experienced practitioners can pass on their knowledge. He also pointed out how the integration of modern innovation helps balance heritage preservation with contemporary practices.
Sheikh Nahyan concluded by praising the organization of the event and Abu Dhabi's capacity to manage global specialized exhibitions. He also commended the participants and organizers for promoting environmental protection and responsible hunting practices.
