Saudi Arabia and France have extended their long-running cooperation on AlUla through 2035, formalising the move through an agreement that amends and extends the existing intergovernmental framework for the historic region’s development. The agreement was signed by Saudi Culture Minister and Royal Commission for AlUla Governor Prince Badr bin Abdullah bin Farhan and French Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot during Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman’s state visit to France. The two sides also reviewed joint projects and cooperation spanning archaeology, culture, hospitality, mobility and sustainable development.
