Saudi Arabia's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Prince Faisal bin Farhan, held talks on Monday in Berlin with Katherina Reiche, the German Minister of Economic Affairs and Energy, to review and expand economic cooperation. Under the framework of Saudi Vision 2030, the ministers explored ways to boost trade, increase mutual investments, and establish new partnerships designed to serve both nations' shared economic interests.
Central to their discussions was the development of energy sector collaboration, with a focus on enhancing energy security, sustainability, and the resilience of global supply chains. Additionally, both officials emphasized the critical need to protect maritime trade routes and guarantee the freedom of navigation for commercial shipping. Securing these waterways is vital for mitigating the impacts of active international crises and maintaining stability within global markets.
The official meeting in Germany was also attended by Ambassador Abdulrahman Al-Ahmad, the Director General of the General Administration for European Countries, alongside Asia Baakdah, the Acting Chargé d'Affaires of the Saudi Embassy in Berlin.
