Saudi Arabia's Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Abdullah Alswaha, held a bilateral meeting with the United Nations Undersecretary General for Economic and Social Affairs, Li Junhua, at the UN headquarters in New York. The meeting was also attended by the Saudi Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Ambassador Dr. Abdulaziz Alwasil.
During the discussions, the officials focused on advancing comprehensive digital transformation to help accelerate the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals. They also explored avenues to strengthen collaborative partnerships in digital government. A key area of focus was supporting digital capacity-building initiatives within developing nations, alongside the exchange of expertise and proven best practices to foster more inclusive and innovative public administrations.
The discussions underscore the Kingdom's active efforts in international cooperation, utilizing modern technologies to improve government service efficiency and helping societies benefit from digital opportunities.
