On Tuesday morning, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Vice Chairman of the Sharjah Executive Council (SEC), His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Salem bin Sultan Al Qasimi, led the council's session at the Sharjah Ruler's Office. During the meeting, the council reviewed various government initiatives designed to improve the delivery of public services. These efforts aim to support local citizens, bolster social harmony, and ensure a prosperous lifestyle for all residents of the emirate.
A key legislative item on the agenda was a new draft law focused on managing lost and abandoned property within Sharjah. This legislation is intended to define the protocols for holding and protecting these items, returning them to their rightful owners, or handling them according to established legal rules. The council has instructed its General Secretariat to send the proposal to the Sharjah Consultative Council for further review. Additionally, the SEC examined strategies to refine government operations through modern systems that simplify customer experiences and deliver services in a more proactive, rapid, and efficient manner.
