Corrections
We publish some stories, particularly under our *Developing* tier, before every fact is fully corroborated. That's a tradeoff we make deliberately, and it means we sometimes get details wrong.
**When we do:**
- We fix the story and add a visible **Corrected** marker next to its original verification badge. The marker doesn't replace the original tier — it sits alongside it, so you can see both what the story was rated at publication and that it was later corrected.
- We do not silently edit factual claims after publication. If a fact changes, the correction is visible.
- Significant corrections include a short note explaining what changed and why.
**To report an error:** Use our [Report an Error](/report-an-error) form with the story URL and what you believe is inaccurate. A human editor reviews every correction request — this isn't routed through AI.
