Saudi Arabia's Border Guard land patrols have successfully prevented three distinct smuggling attempts across the Jazan and Asir regions. The operations led to the confiscation of 154 kilograms of khat, 24 kilograms of hashish, and 19,120 tablets governed by medical circulation rules. All individuals apprehended during these security operations were identified as Ethiopian nationals.
In the Jazan region, security patrols operating in the Al-Dayer Sector carried out two separate operations. The first resulted in the arrest of Ethiopian nationals who violated the Border Security Law while trying to smuggle 24 kilograms of hashish and 19,120 regulated tablets. A second action in the same sector saw the arrest of three more Ethiopian nationals who were caught trying to smuggle 60 kilograms of narcotic khat.
Meanwhile, in the Al-Raboua Sector of the Asir region, land patrols apprehended another group of Ethiopian nationals attempting to smuggle 94 kilograms of khat. Authorities confirmed that preliminary legal actions have been finalized for all three incidents. The detainees and the seized contraband have been transferred to the appropriate governmental departments for further processing.
