The National Center for Meteorology (NCM) has issued red weather alerts for intense rainfall across various areas of Saudi Arabia, specifically covering Al-Majardah and Rijal Almaa within the Asir region, as well as the Al-Baha region. Officials have also announced orange alerts, indicating moderate rain, for Al-Ardiyat and Adham within the Makkah province and Al-Hajrah in Al-Baha. Furthermore, yellow warnings for light rain are in effect for Al-Udayd in the Eastern Province, alongside Taif and Al-Qunfudhah in Makkah.
According to the weather agency, the current weather system is projected to bring moderate to heavy thunderstorms capable of producing hail and triggering flash floods in Jazan, Asir, Al-Baha, and the mountainous areas of Makkah. Additionally, light precipitation is anticipated in the southern territories of the Eastern Province. The NCM also warned of active winds that may kick up dust and sand across these locations, as well as in Riyadh and the coastal areas of Madinah and Makkah.
Met offices forecast that maximum temperatures will reach 44 degrees Celsius in Madinah and Buraidah, followed by 43 degrees Celsius in Riyadh and Makkah, and 42 degrees Celsius in Dammam. Meanwhile, cooler peak temperatures are anticipated in Abha at 30 degrees Celsius and Al-Baha at 28 degrees Celsius, where humidity levels could climb up to 90 percent. High humidity is also expected in Jazan at 85 percent and Jeddah at 70 percent.
Suspended dust is anticipated to impact Riyadh, Buraidah, and Hail, while blowing dust is forecast for Madinah, Dammam, Sakaka, Jazan, and Najran. Fog is expected to develop in Abha and Al-Baha, whereas Tabuk and Arar are projected to experience clear conditions.
