The National Center for Inspection and Monitoring (NCIM) has processed more than 11 million reports submitted by citizens through its consolidated national inspection and control platform. Established by a Cabinet decision in 2024, the NCIM is tasked with organizing and harmonizing inspection efforts across various government bodies to ensure transparency, integrity, and efficiency in all oversight activities.
Led by the Minister of Municipalities and Housing, Majid Al-Hogail, who serves as the Chairman of the Board of Directors, the Center's leadership includes representatives from seven government entities, with Turki Al-Hogail serving as the Chief Executive Officer.
One of the primary goals of the NCIM is to alleviate the regulatory pressure on private-sector businesses by reducing redundant inspection visits. By enhancing overall compliance rates, the Center aims to cultivate a more favorable business climate in Saudi Arabia. These efforts directly support the broader objectives of Saudi Vision 2030, which seeks to improve the fairness and efficiency of regulatory operations and elevate service standards. The NCIM facilitates high-level operational capabilities for government watchdogs by refining auditing processes and licensing partner inspection firms.
To address systemic challenges in the oversight process, the NCIM has outlined six core responsibilities. These include creating and implementing national policies and standards, managing the unified national platform, and governing inspections across different sectors. Additionally, the Center is responsible for licensing private-sector inspection firms, managing a centralized appeals platform, and enhancing operational transparency through performance-focused solutions.
