In celebration of Emirati Women's Day, the Abu Dhabi Judicial Department (ADJD) hosted a panel discussion titled "The Legal and Sports Framework and the Empowerment of Women in Light of Human Rights" during the 23rd Abu Dhabi International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition (ADIHEX 2026). Organized by the Abu Dhabi Judicial Academy, the session examined the legal, regulatory, and athletic aspects of equestrianism and hunting, emphasizing the preservation of these traditional sports as key elements of national heritage.
A major focus of the panel was the active role and growing representation of Emirati women in heritage sports. Speakers highlighted the achievements of female Emirati athletes in equestrian activities and emphasized the necessity of continued support to help them compete and excel globally. Sports federations were recognized for their efforts in scouting talent, nurturing young athletes, and establishing developmental pathways to train future champions.
The discussion also covered the legislative and regulatory mechanisms governing hunting and equestrian pursuits.
