To mark the International Day of Charity, Make-A-Wish UAE hosted an event at Emirates Humanitarian City to grant the wishes of 18 children from Gaza. The celebration included various entertainment activities designed to bring joy and hope to the participating children and their families.
The event was attended by Mona Al Jaber, a Member of the Board of Trustees of Make-A-Wish UAE, alongside representatives from Emirates Humanitarian City. Al Jaber highlighted the success of the ongoing partnership, noting that the foundation has successfully granted 110 wishes for Gazan children since their collaboration began in 2024. She emphasized that each granted wish creates a lasting, positive memory for the children and their families, and affirmed the foundation's commitment to continuing the partnership to bring smiles to more children.
Al Jaber also expressed her gratitude to the team at Emirates Humanitarian City, with special recognition given to Counsellor Mubarak Falah Al Qahtani, the official spokesperson for the city, for his dedicated efforts.
Counsellor Al Qahtani expressed pride in the joint initiative, emphasizing how such humanitarian partnerships bring hope and happiness to children. He extended his appreciation to Sheikha Sheikha bint Saif bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, wife of H.H. Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Advisor to the UAE President and Chairperson of the Board of Trustees of Make-A-Wish Foundation UAE, for her ongoing commitment and guidance in supporting the children of Gaza residing in the city.
This collaborative effort underscores Make-A-Wish UAE’s core mission to support children battling critical illnesses by offering them moments of joy, strength, and hope during challenging times.
