Sheikh Shakhboot bin Nahyan Al Nahyan, Minister of State, received an invitation on behalf of UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan from Julius Maada Bio, the President of Sierra Leone. The correspondence invites the UAE President to participate in the upcoming West Africa Integration and Investment Summit, which is scheduled to take place in Freetown from November 17 to 18, 2026.
The official invitation was handed over in Abu Dhabi during a meeting between Sheikh Shakhboot bin Nahyan and Rashid Sesay, the Ambassador of Sierra Leone to the UAE.
During their discussions, the two sides reviewed the strategic bilateral relations connecting the UAE and Sierra Leone. They explored opportunities to further enhance cooperation across multiple sectors to benefit both countries and their citizens. Additionally, the officials exchanged viewpoints on a range of shared global and regional matters.
