President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has sent a message of congratulations to Guatemala’s President Bernardo Arévalo on the occasion of the Central American country’s Independence Day.
Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, also sent a congratulatory message to President Arévalo.
Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Presidential Court, sent a similar message, according to the Emirates News Agency and the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The messages were issued on 15 September, the date on which Guatemala marks independence alongside several other Central American states.
The UAE announcement did not include details of new bilateral agreements or policy initiatives. It was a diplomatic message marking Guatemala’s national occasion.
Such messages form part of the routine diplomatic exchanges through which the UAE leadership acknowledges national days and other official occasions of partner countries.
The statement identifies President Bernardo Arévalo as the recipient of the messages and does not announce any additional meeting, visit or economic agreement.
