The United Arab Emirates, operating through the UAE Aid Agency, is continuing its humanitarian relief operations in the Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal following recent destructive floods and landslides. The ongoing aid distribution is being executed under the directives of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, who allocated US$10 million to assist affected communities, support early recovery initiatives, and bolster stability.
Dr. Ahmed Al Mansouri, Director of the Office of the Vice Chairman of the UAE Aid Agency, confirmed that the UAE relief delegation has commenced the distribution of food packages, relief supplies, and essential materials to alleviate the suffering of residents in the hardest-hit areas.
Additionally, a UAE search and rescue team has conducted field inspections in the damaged regions to evaluate the destruction and pinpoint the exact needs of the local population. Operating in close coordination with Nepalese authorities, the team has initiated field operations to bolster local search and rescue efforts and improve coordination among the various relief teams working on the ground.
